BJE is a not-for-profit delivering quality Jewish Education across NSW public schools and beyond.

Reaching over 60 schools across New South Wales to deliver a beyond Jewish education.

About Us

BJE (NSW Board of Jewish Education) is the only Government-supported provider of Jewish education for children attending state schools across NSW. We exist to ensure that every Jewish child has the opportunity to learn, connect and grow in their Jewish identity — wherever they go to school.

Our programs go beyond the classroom, offering diverse pathways for connection and learning. For over 100 years, since 1909, BJE has been a trusted part of Jewish life in New South Wales. Through innovative, age-appropriate programs, we support students from Kindergarten to Year 12 with a rich variety of Jewish and Hebrew learning opportunities — in school, after school, on weekends and beyond.

Our work thrives thanks to JCA, our community’s central fundraiser, providing 70% of our funding. We’re grateful to the generosity of JCA and their donors everyday community members — enabling us to focus on what we do best.
